My name is Laura Melling; it is my first year at Passmores and my first year in charge of a vertical tutor group.  I teach Science and can be found in U6.

I grew up in Bristol and studied Zoology at university.  Eventually I trained as a teacher and taught in Ipswich before moving to this area.  I feel very fortunate to be working at this fantastic school. In my life before teaching I worked for an activity holiday company and in ski resorts.  I believe that the world is open to everyone and a fascinating place to be explored!

I am delighted to be taking responsibility for Dragon 3, with the assistance of Miss. Betts.  There are a lovely mixture of personalities within the group who are willing to share their abilities and talents.  They like a discussion and express their opinions and ideas.  They will have a go at anything, have good attendance and come to school properly dressed, with the correct equipment.

To retain the house trophy we must try our best this year.  I will encourage students to take part in every section of the House competition, as well as try to help them improve their self confidence, social skills and personal organisation.
